Products Description
Silicon calcium barium alloy is a new and efficient compound alloy in barium alloy. As the deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking, it has the dephosphorization effect (BaP2 BaP3). Also, it’s the inoculant and modificator in iron-casting.
Products Advantages
Within steelmaking temperature, barium effectively reduces the vapor pressure of calcium and increases solubility in the liquid steel. When silicon barium calcium alloy is added into steel slag as a source of calcium, the calcium content in the molten steel is about twice the silicon calcium alloy if the adding amount of calcium even halfway of calcium silicon alloy addition amount, compared with calcium silicon alloy. And the stability of calcium in liquid steel is improved significantly. It just goes to show that barium in steel slag effectively protects the calcium and reduces volatilization and oxidation of calcium, so as to achieve the goal of calcium treatment in liquid steel.
