Two Piece Mould is mainly used for bias tyre, like Motorcycle tyre,bicycle tyre,solid tyre, ATV tyre, Farm tyre,OTR tyre,etc), some Radial tyre (like Radial agricutural tire,PCR tyre etc) also can adopt this type of mould. Plastsea
The main machining process for two piece mould is EDM process. For such process, there are two processes adopted in this industry: Plastsea
one is one-time EDM process, it means we use the EDM to engrave the pattern completely, without any modification by hand. This process can make the pattern of mould with high precision, and cost will be a litte high because of the long time EDM.
another process is Machining+EDM. This process will use the CNC to roughly engrave the pattern, then use EDM to fine finishing. This process can save cost, but the precision of the pattern is also lower than one-time EDM process. Plastsea

Normally, if the tyre company or other customer want to purchase the mould, they should provide the drawings of their mould or tyre to our engineer, then we can make the design accordingly. It will be convinient for the drawing confirmation.
If some customers have no drawing of the mould on hand, you also can send us the sample of your tyre (one section is ok). Then we can design the drawing according to your sample. Plastsea
