SHMM has the strong research and development capability based on its three professional labs and technical support from Fudan University.  
Degradable Plant Fiber Desiccant is one of the patented products developed by SHMM which was honored as Scientific Research Achievement by State Forestry Bureau in 2006 and awarded Hi-Tech Project by Shanghai Government in 2007. It also has won Green Label, the only product in desiccant industry approved by State Environmental Protection Administration.
In 2007, in partnership with the Shanghai Museum, East China University of Science and Technology and Nanjing Forestry University, SHMM developed a pilot program aimed to better control humidity in museum microenvironments through the use of SHMM’s fiber board. In 2010, this program expanded to several pavilions during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
In 2010, in accordance with European Green Policy, SHMM developed a cobalt-free humidity indicator card. This new product has seen tremendous growth, particularly in the packaging of electronics goods.
Hyperdry is the newest innovation from SHMM. By combining several super absorbent polymers, this proprietary product maintains exceptional absorbent capacity in high-temperature and high-humidity environment. Together with its excellent water lock properties, it is a first-rate option for securing ocean freight cargo from moisture.

Our factory is equipped with a complete line of production equipment, including a cutting machine, powder packaging machine,  granule packaging machine, automatic packaging equipment, film laminating machines, transverse cutting machines, slitting machines, drying machines, and a coating machine. We have also designed and developed an enclosed vacuum feeding system and two-component automatic packaging line, which provides a technical guarantee for a future of developing higher performance products.

In the production of premium quality plant fiber desiccants, the plant fiber rolls are first coated with a drying agent in the desired concentration, and are then cut into fiber sheets. After drying, the different sized sheets are assembled into the end product in various specifications.

The production of mineral desiccants and silica desiccants is relatively simple. We first package the desiccant according to the client’s demands for weight, and then package the product in a barrier bag and carton before leaving the factory.

Humidity Indicator Cards are produced by dripping moisture sensitive chemicals onto fiber sheets. We use a special variety of raw paper and then a special chemical agent is applied to the dots. Our humidity indicator cards are most often typically sealed into barrier bags, then packaged into metal cans.
