The function of four or six polar permanent magnet:

 

Four or Six polar permanent magnets are one of the devices in the accelerator. According to the application of Loren magnetic principle, the electron accelerator  combines, accelerates and alters the moving directions of the scattered electrons from gun at low speed acceleration. Eventually, electron beam moves in effective direction.

 

Multipolar(4 or 6) magnets of NdFeb are used to replace electromagnet which has instable polarization because of inconsistent current, voltage. The quadrople or 6 polar magnet ensures stability of polarization.

 

The magnetic blocks are movable to adjust the central diameter as indicated by the yellow arrow.
