Fundamental theory

HK - RPP - 2 microcoulometric titrator conforms to the micro coulometric titration principle, use double platinum electrode in detecting titration process, we use a microcomputer system to control electrolysis and data process with a new generation of intelligent microcoulometric titrator.

In the classical Karl fischer volumetric titration process, when water exists, iodine and sulfur dioxide will occur the following reaction.

     H2O+I2+SO2+CH3OH+3RN→2RN· HI+RN· HSO4CH3…………………………………(1)

     user adds the iodine standard solution as reaction needed iodine.

Our HK - RPP – 2 is a new generation of coulometric titrator, which is based on the sample containing iodine special solvent soluble electrolyte, water consumption of iodine, iodine is no longer required for using standard iodine titration reagent, but by electrolytic process to make the solution of iodine ion in anode oxidation for iodine
