Two separate ASI and IP output
1.1 Outline
NDS3106 multiplexer is an enhanced TS multiplexer for digital TV broadcasting head-end system. The multiplexer has all the functions of normal TS multiplexer, including programs multiplexing, PSI/SI editing, PID re-mapping, service filtering etc. Also the multiplexer can insert EPG (electronic program guide), CA (conditional access) and data broadcasting into each output stream. Different from normal multiplexer, this multiplexer has 2 ASI inputs, 6 tuner inputs (DVB-S/S2 tuner 950~2150MHz), two separate output ports and two separate megabit IP output ports. In other words, It can multiplex the RF signals (complying with DVB-S/S2 standard) from satellite into the output ports via the 6 tuners, also it can multiplex up to 2 channels ASI input MPTS into the output transport stream (MPTS). Therein, the bit rate of output stream can be up to 216Mbps. Furthermore, the NDS 3106 multiplexer is provided with full size LCD display and a 100M/10M Ethernet port for network management. Therefore, user can easily configure the settings of the device.
