QUALITY PROPERTIES OF Copper Clad Aluminium Wire (CCA)
Adopt internationally advanced cladding-welding technology to produce copper-clad aluminium wire, the copper layer is made of refined copper with purity of 99.97% and upward therefore it has high density and good conductivity. The copper layer is metallurgically combined with the aluminium core and it is evenly distributed along circumferential and longitudinal directions so it has good concentricity and its technical index can reach ASTM B566-93 standard of USA.
Under the same condition of weight and diameter, the length ratio between the copper-clad aluminium wire and the pure copper wire is 2.6:1 therefore it can largely reduce production cost of the cable. To purchase 1 ton of copper-clad aluminium wire it is equal to purchase 2.6 tons of pure copper wire thus the cost of raw material can be largely reduced.
Compare with the pure copper wire, the copper clad aluminium wire is valueless to the larcener because it is almost impossible to separate copper-clad aluminium layer with the aluminium core therefore the additional proof effect is available.
Compare with the pure copper wire, the copper-clad aluminium wire has more plasticity and cannot be oxidized like aluminium so that it is easier to make process and has better conductivity.
The copper-clad aluminium wire has lighter weight so it is convenient to make transport , installation and construction and manpower charge can be reduced accordingly.
