OVERVIEW
Generally, raw rattan is processed into several products to be used as materials in furniture making. The various species of rattan range from several millimeters up to 5–7 cm in diameter. From a strand of rattan, the skin is usually peeled off, to be used as rattan weaving material. The remaining "core" of the rattan can be used for various purposes in furniture making. Rattan is a very good material mainly because it is lightweight, durable, suitable for outdoor use, and—to a certain extent—flexible.
Policy
Indonesia was the world biggest raw rattan exporter. Due to its best raw quality, many big consumers were favoring Indonesian raw rattan product for their decorative works production. However, in line with the commitment to promote local industry competitiveness, Indonesian government has stopped raw rattan export and begin to boosting industry added value in Indonesian downstream rattan industries.
Furniture making
Rattans are extensively used for making furniture and baskets. When cut into sections, rattan can be used as wood to make furniture. Rattan accepts paints and stains like many other kinds of wood, so it is available in many colors; and it can be worked into many styles. Moreover, the inner core can be separated and worked into wicker.
Handicraft and arts
Many of the properties of rattan that make it suitable for furniture also make it a popular choice for handicraft and art pieces. Uses include rattan baskets, plant containers and other decorative works.
Important Information You Have to Read
1. Due to the nature of all rattan material, it is unavoidable that color differences between one shipment to another for some periods may occur.
2. For the volume of order, whereas care has been taken to give accurate information, there may be some inaccuracy or variation especially for sizes and loadabilities. Moreover in case of mixed container, with a lot of product, it is sometimes difficult to calculate precisely the volume of the order. Our order is 10% more or less accurate.
3. Payment methods must be agreed from both party or down payment/initial payment 50% and the following 50% will be paid before shipment.
4. Prices above do not include postage. The shipping charges can be asked directly to admin for every expedition company has a different fare.
6. Hartati Heritage will not take responsibility for goods damages caused by transportation. In case of complaints, customer will provide us clear photographs.
7. To avoid disappointment, we have set up a simple rule: we announce you 45 Production Time from the day we receive payment, while we are asking 30 days from our partners. By this way, we either ship 1 or 2 weeks earlier. For big quantity order, the date of shipment will be take much more times.
8. Delivery Near Muslim Eid Al-Fitr (EAF), special attention needs to be taken before EAF. By Indonesian law, containers are forbidden on the roads, 7 days before EAF. Then, Indonesia factories will close for 2 weeks, from the date of EAF. Practically it takes 3 to 4 weeks more than usual to proceed orders when comes the time of EAF. To avoid the rush of year end orders, we strongly advise our potential customers to plan their orders as early as possible, to be able to receive goods for the Xmas season.
We usually use a standard safety packaging. Shipping is negotiable, it depends on your request. We can use sea freight (FOB Price) or air freight (CIF price).

We usually ship by using Registered Mail from PT Pos Indonesia, estimated shipping time around: 14-30 Business Days (Depend on your location).
Air Freight Price excluded: Handling fee, Warehouse fee, AWB & CG Fee, Agent Fee.
Besides Economy Shipping, we use EMS - Express Mail Service estimated shipping time around : 10-14 Business Days (Depend on your location)
In some cases, shipping price is more expensive rather than the product price. We do not responsible for customs duties, taxes, fees or delay.
