Spiral Drill Collar
Spiral drill collar is used to reduce contact area with hole so as to avoid efficiently bit sticking from differential pressure. The spiral drill collars are manufactured strictly according to API standard.
1. Material: AISI 4145H Alloy steel, Non magnetic steel, etc.
2. Shape: It is a kind of drill collar which adds three dextrogyrate spiral groove on the outer circle of ordinary drill collar when processing, and the purpose is to reduce the area of contact and friction with the well wall, which can effectively prevent the pressure sticking.
3. Use: It is mainly used between the drill head and the drill pipe, so that it can make the drill head work reposefully and keep right trace by providing the pressure and weight for drill head.
4. Standard: API Spec 7-1 or SY/T5144 Standard.
5. Inspection&Test: When producing, traceability are maintained from the receipt of raw material to completion of final products, and serial numbers are diestamped on each workpiece body. During each manufacturing process, inspection and test are performed.
