Toxicity

Belong to low fungicide. Rat acute through the mouth LD50 > 3900 mg/kg, 

percutaneous LD50 > 2000 mg/kg, rat acute inhalation t. urticae > 4.24 mg/litre. 

To the rabbit skin without irritation, slightly to stimulate. The test conditions, 

no mutagenic and carcinogenic, teratogenic effect, rats 90 days feeding test, 

no action dose of 200 mg/g. Medium to the fish toxicity, t. urticae carp 

14 mg/l (96 hours). In normal use, the lower the bees, the mouth LD50 > 100

 micrograms/only. For silkworm nonhazardous effect, low to the bird,

 wild duck acute through the mouth LD50 > 2000 mg/kg. No effect on the 

response, the earthworm no role dose for 1000 mg/kg soil.

Function

Dimethomorph is a systemic fungicide which protects plants from molds, 

as well as killing molds on plants and preventing their spread. 

It is a cinnamic acid derivative and a member of the morpholine chemical family.

Dimethomorph is used as a wood preservative to control downy mildew on vines, 

and to control late blight on tomatoes and potatoes.
