This is 100% cotton, natural fiber fabric with a specialized weave known as Ripstop. There is a 1/4" size grid work of thick spots woven into this fabric that are designed to stop a rip or tear, should the fabric be punctured or cut. This design minimizes the damage to the fabric when it is under heavy abuse. This material is excellent for performance apparel (clothing) for those "high intensity" situations, where ripped clothing would slow you down and/or ruin your day.
