Thermocouple is a temperature-sensing element,is a primary instrument.It directly sense and measure temperature and translate temperature signal into heat electromotive force signal,and then read by secondary instrument as temperature of objective.
Its basic theory is two different conductors form a closed loop circuit.When there's temperature difference between two side,electricity will run in circuit,then electromotive force occurs,we call that Seebeck effect,also thermoelectric effect.
