Calcium chloride, a composed of chlorine and calcium salt, chemical formula for CaCl2.It is a typical ionic halide, white solid at room temperature.Its common applications include cooling equipment used in salt water, roads, melting agent and desiccant.Because it is liable to absorb moisture in the air deliquescence, so anhydrous calcium chloride must be sealed storage in the container.
Colorless cubic crystal, white or gray, granular, honeycomb block, globular, irregular granular, powder.micro toxicity, odourless, taste bitter.Strong moisture absorption, the dew in the air extremely easy deliquescence.Soluble in water, release a large amount of heat at the same time (dissolving enthalpy of calcium chloride for 176.2 CAL/g), its aqueous solution was slightly acidic.Soluble in alcohol, acetone, acetic acid.With ammonia and ethanol, respectively to generate CaCl2 · 8 nh3 and CaCl2 · 4 c2h5oh complex.Under the low temperature solution crystallization and precipitation of six water content, heating gradually to 30 ℃ is dissolved in the crystallization of the water itself, continue to heat water loss gradually, to 200 ℃ when become dihydrate, heated to 260 ℃ was white vesicular anhydrous calcium chloride.
Application
1.used as a multipurpose desiccant, such as used for nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide and other gases and dry.
2. The production of alcohol, ester, ether and acrylic resin used as dehydrating agent.
3. Calcium chloride aqueous solution is for the use of refrigerator and ice important refrigerant.
4. Can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistant ability building mortar, antifreeze is a good architecture.
5. Serve as a port of the antifogging agent and road dust collection agent, fabric fire retardant.
6. Used for aluminum and magnesium metallurgy protectant, refining agent.
7. Is the production of lake pigment precipitation agent.
8. Used in waste paper deinking processing.
9. Is the raw material of producing calcium salt.
10. Calcium chloride can reduce the freezing point of water, and the road with a calcium chloride hydrate can prevent freezing and deicing snow melt, but after melting salt water will destroy the soil and vegetation along the way and the deterioration of pavement concrete.
