Preface
Window film (for short WF) is a special film product with multi-storey and multi-functional optical characteristics, it is stuck on the window to improve the performance and strength of the glass. The benefits of WF heat preservation, heat proof, saving energy, increasing security, anti ultraviolet radiation, privacy protection, Safety & Security protection and so on. Because of such unique advantages of WF, it is being widely applied in all fields all over the world, including automotive and building glass such as doors, windows, partitions, ceiling of hotels, schools, factories, gymnasiums, banks, railways, places of entertainment, mansion, office buildings and so on.
The developing process of window film
The first generation of WF in 1930s coating and laminating film, which is usually named Tan Film, the main function is sheltering the strong sunlight, and it almost doesn’t play the thermal insulation role but shelters sunlight.
The second generation of WF in the 1960s dyeing film
Dyeing film absorbs the infrared ray to realize thermal insulation by dark dyeing and adding heat absorbent, but the heat isn’t insulated by the way. The deficiencies of dyeing film: low visible light transmission, low definition, the thermal insulation function loses fast, and the color is easy to fade.
The third generation of WF in the early of 1990s vacuum and heat vaporization film.
The thermal insulation effect is achieved by vaporizing aluminum layer on base material, although it has everlasting thermal insulation effect, but the definition is low, and it affects the field of view’s comfort, and the light reflection is stronger.
The fourth generation of WF in the end of 1990 metal magnetron sputtering film
Sputtering Nickel, Silver, Titanium, Gold and etc senior space alloy material evenly on the PET base material with high tension. Thus the excellences of film: everlasting thermal insulation effect, high definition, high heat insulation, low light reflection, and stable color. But it can be easily oxygenated, and blocks GPS radio communication system signal in vehicle.
The latest technology of 21st century nano thermal insulation film
It is the latest advanced product in the century, which is made of the adhesive layer with nano metal oxide plasm by nano technology dispersing method. Its advantages: obvious thermal insulation effect, not easy to be oxygenated, twice longer life span than the one of metal film, and no blocking the GPS. It really meets the standards of the perfect window film: no being oxygenated, no fading, no blocking GPS, high thermal insulation, high visible light transmission, low reflection, stable color and longer life span.
