Toxicity and Contraindications

Rhodiola root extract is low in toxicity, and has few side-effects. If someone feels excess exciting, extremely nervous and discomposed, it is advised to take less dosage at the beginning and then increase gradually. It may disturb sleeping and bring colorful dreams at former weeks of taking the medicine, so it is suggested to take the medicine in the morning.

Rhodiola root extract can increase the effect of antidepressant, so it is forbidden to use at manic-depressive psychosis patients. It is better to take 30 mins before meals .

Product Introduction

    Rhodiola rosea ("golden root" or "roseroot") is widely distributed at high altitudes in Arctic and mountainous regions throughout Europe and Asia. It was named by Greek botanist Linnaeus because when cut the fresh root, people can smell the perfume of roses. 

    Rhodiola characters cold in nature, sweet, bitter and astringent, able to nourish one’s lung and clear away internal heat. Rhodiola is another important environmentally-adaptable natural medicament after Panax and thorn slender acanthopanax.(Unlike thorn slender acanthopanax which will cause constipation and Panax which will cause excessive excitement, Rhodiola has little noxious few side effect, so it has a promising future.)

    With intensive research of pharmacological function and clinical access, USSR sets Rhodiola as the sample of “adaptive element” in 1976. Since then, Rhodiola has wildly been used to resist fatigue and caducity, enhance mental and physical function and improve attention and memory.
