Description:
Shackles are recognized as simple and reliable standard components for chain and rope assemblies. By replacing the standard shackle with a load measuring shackle, the load in the line can easily be monitored. This is particularly useful in marine moorings and many other applications.
In a load measuring shackle the original pin is replaced with a load measuring pin, which has exceptional abilities under water in comparison to any other type of load cell. It is unaffected by the outside water pressure, but remains sensitive in the intended load measuring direction.
Our load measuring shackles are made using Green Pin bows as standard(‘D’or ‘Bow’). If necessary other bows can be specially selected or forged to achieve specific shape and size requirements. They are supplied with a fully calibration certificate.
Various options of cables, connectors and internal amplifier are also available to tailor a shackle for a special application. GOLDSHINE also supply a range of associated instrumentation.
