Patents & Qualifications
1. Do you have patents, is it legal to buy your hoverboard?
We have the patent, our company has applied for nearly 160 patents related to balance scooter, has authorized nearly 70 items, covering the United States, Europe, Japan, Korea and other foreign countries.
2. If you do why there are also other suppliers who can still sell this product?
For why other factories continue to produce, we can only say that our R & D products in the domestic market has a certain influence, favorite by many customers, a high degree of market acceptance. For example, Apple, Chanel, Gucci and many brands, too, there are many factories in production, right?
3. Can i buy from factory who claim they have got Chic’s authorization?
What we authorized is our patent. We can’t control their product quality!
We have signed the patent licensing contract, in which we strictly control the licensee, require them to purchase our circuit boards and they should inform us when export.
We have strict requirements for licensee’s qualification, supply chain and after-sales service in order to promote the healthy development of the industry.
If the licensee violates the contract and its behavior has certain harm to our industry, we will temporarily withdraw our authorization to protect our rights and interests.
The authorization contract will expire in September, then we will consider whether to continue the authorization according to the situation of each licensee.
4. What is result of 337 investigation between Chic and Segway in United States?
Now Segway has filed two 337 investigations.
For the first one: Chic has not received any official feedback about Segway 337 investigations. Segway 337 is aimed at the self balance car with handle bar, but our product is the man-machine interactive self balance car without handle bar.
For the second one: each our department performs its own functions, so it has different effects on different departments.
Of course you can buy our products. Our company is also in the normal saling condition and the situation is good.
5. Are you doing anything to fight against piracy?
We are working to combat piracy of goods currently, in order to maintain our company’s legal interest,we have been sued nearly 200 piracy manufacturers and dealt with nearly 40 manufacturers who infringed our patent rights.
6. For U.S. market, do you have UL certificate for your hoverboard?
We have already got UL certification.
Quality & After-sale Service
1. What have you done to control quality of products?
We will purchase accessories for quality sampling, to each step of the process has a dedicated production supervisor checked. Before packing each scooter all need a trial test ride, to ensure the normal operation of the scooter.
Before shipping, we have quality personnel out of the box for final testing.
2. What is the after-sale service?
Our products have 1 year warranty, if happen any quality problem, we can free service. If the damage caused by man-made, we only charge the cost of materials. If foreign customers, we can send the parts or return the products of problem quarterly.
3. What is the defective rate?
Below 3% fraction defective.
4. What is the spare parts price for retailers?
We have complete spare parts price of after-sales maintenance.
Production Ability
1. How’s your production ability?
At present ,daily output of CHIC’s factory is 500. And we also have other production base ,please be assured that we have strong producing capacity.
2. What is the normal lead time for a order?
Small quantity order: if we have stock, delivery time is 2-3 working days after receive the payment.
Large quantity order, normally within 15 working days after receive the payment.. according to our factory production schedule.
Exclusive Distribution
1. What is your requirements for exclusive distributors?
We will examine agent’s strength and need to Periodic review agent’s sales.
We won’t sell to customers in area which we have set a exclusive distributor.
Advertising support depends on sales.
