Drive-in and Drive Through racks are designed to provide the space efficiency and high volume storage, with easy access to pallets. It is ideal when the application has few SKU's and high pallet quantities of each SKU.
Our Drive-in storage systems are tailored to pallet, load size and handling equipment.
Picking and replenishment is facilitated by means of conventional forklift trucks, keeping costs to a minimum.
Unique self centering rails automatically position pallets quickly and safely, eliminating time consuming realignment. This ens ofures that pallets are presented correctly to the operator, promoting safe handling, ease of use and reducing mechanical damage to the rails and uprights. Rails adjust in 3 increments to optimize space utilization.
Advantages of Drive In/Through Pallet Racking
Forklift trucks drive into lanes on racking specially built to provide support to the pallet along the pallet sides. Stacking often to 10 metres high and 4 or 5 but occasionally even 10 deep. This system can provide very dense storage capacity, often low in access and rotation of products. As the truck enters the racking, special precautions apply to ensure the compatibility of design between the truck, pallet and load and the racking. Flat floors are advantageous.
Usually the rack design incorporates a stability structure at the rear of the rack and therefore drive in indicates single access from one side. Drive thru requires this same stability to be provided by a variation in design.
