1.Would this work to make tempered, chocolate spheres?

2. I am having trouble getting the tray to lock. Once I lock one compartment, the other 3 become loose. Does anyone have tips?
A:Make sure it is on a smooth surface and fill half way full close two sides at a time and finish filling through the holes and they should lock In place
3. Would this tray fit in the top freezer part of most mini-fridges?
A: Yes it would as it is not that big. Just measure your freezer to make sure.
4. Do these last frozen longer than normal smaller ice cubes?
A:No scientific testing, but they seem to last considerably longer. They also work great in water bottles.
5. Are the insides of the mold completely smooth or slightly textured? I want to use this to create clear, resin "globes"?
A: You get a nice smooth ice ball out of it.
