The so-called dehumidifier is the process of removing water from air or various gases in order to obtain dry air of gas. At present there are two main ways of air dehumidification in industry: cooling method and chemical method. Cooling method include atmospheric cooling dehumidification and compression condensation dehumidification. The cooling dehumidifier produced by our company uses the method of atmospheric cooling dehumidification. Chemical method includes wet liquid absorption dehumidification and dry solid absorption dehumidification. Wheel dehumidifier uses the method of dry dynamic dehumidification of chemical method.

 

It is suitable to use refrigeration dehumidification in the range of 50%-70% air humidity requirements in normal temperature and pressure. And it is suitable to use rotary dehumidifier in the range of 1%-50% air humidity requirements.

 

The core component of rotary dehumidifier is a continuously-rotating dry cellular wheel. Dry wheel are composed of wavy medium which is made by special compound and heat-resisting with desiccant in. the features of the design are tight structure and supplying big dehumidification size. Dehumidification rotary are divide to two regions by partition board which dare to plug sealing packing: one is 270° sector of treatment air terminal, one is 90°sector of regeneration air treatment.

 

The water molecule in air absorbed by hygroscopic agent of the wheel wet air need to be dehumidified(treatment air ) enter the 270° sector of rotary. The dried air is sent to the dry air outlet by processing blower.

 

Dehumidification rotates slowly on and on in the process of dehumidification. After becoming saturation state by absorbing water molecule, the 270° sector of wheel in treatment air region will turn to the 90° sector in regeneration air region automatically and enter the regeneration process. In the process of regeneration, the heated regeneration air (usually outdoor air) enters the regeneration sector of wheel. At high temperature state, water molecule absorbed by wheel are desorbed and lost in the regeneration air. The regeneration air gives out heat and lowers its temperature in the desorbing process, so it becomes wet air with larger moisture content. The wet air (waste air)  is cleared to be outside by regeneration air blower.

 

In the process of regeneration, dehumidification and regeneration are at the same time—air are dehumidified continuously and wheel are generated continuously to dehumidify continuously, recycling again and again like this. The rotational speed of wheel is very slowly which rotate in the speed of 12-24 circle/hour so it has a minimum energy consumption.
