What is knife-coated?
knife-coated is a kind of synthetic material whose thickness is usually thicker than common flex banner. Just as what you have seen as follows, the observe side of the blade coated is pliable and smooth, but the reverse side is rough and asymmetrical with thick granulate.
However, knife-coated is also named high-strength PV tarpaulin, PVC waterproof tarpaulin, which is divided into glossy and matt side, the glossy is mainly used in indoor media advertising while the matt can be applied in indoor and outdoor advertising.
Features of knife-coated:
1) Knife-coated is widely used in large format slap-up as markets thanks to its special character of the high strength, good ductility and strong suppleness.
2) Owing to its smooth surface and stronger absorbency, knife-coated is equipped with strong ink adsorptivity which make it easy to adhere under oil-based or water-based inks
3) It has stable physical and chemical properties with the major performance of oxidation resistance and being able to bear acid-base and low temperature.
As we all know that PVC vinyl has removable and non-removable character, the former can be paste repeatedly and there is no influence on the flat or glossy materials, if you want to stick on walls, whether it is removable depends on whether the wall is neat or not. However, semi-removable PVC vinyl is not able to use repeatedly and the glue will leave over the pasted materials or it will be tore.
Applications:
Flex banner is usually applied in shed cover, lamp house, background plate, large format poster
in public places and so on.
