GD Gabion is basket or mesh roll made of twisted hexagonal wire Mesh(80X100 APERTURE). GD Gabion box is filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls, channel linings and weirs for erosion control projects.
Steel wire used in the manufacture of it is heavily zinc coated or galfan(zinc 95%, aluminum 5%). If
required, a 0,5 mm nominal thick PVC coating is then extruded over the galvanised/galfan wire to provide added protection for use in aggressive environments with acidic soils and water, in salt or fresh water or wherever the risk of corrosion is present. In order to reinforce the structure, all mesh panel edges are selvedged with a wire having a greater diameter than the mesh wire. The gabion box is divided into cells by means of diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m centres.
CHARACTERISTICS:
