AWS A5.4 stainless steel welding electrode E316-16
Weldcote Metals E316-16 electrodes are designed for welding wrought and cast forms of similar composition. The
presence of molybdenum increases the creep resistance at elevated temperatures and offers good resistance to pitting corrosion.
Application:
E316-16 is used for welding type 316L or 318 stainless steels. It has a maximum of 0.04% carbon content in the
weld metal, whichreduces the possibility of carbide precipitationand consequent intergranular corrosion. This
electrode is widely used in the welding of chemical equipment.
