Performance:

Corrosion resistance

Corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel, in pulp and paper production process has good resistance to corrosion. And 316 stainless steel is also resistant to aggressive industrial marine and atmospheric erosion.

Heat resistance

At 871 ° C (1600 ° F) below the intermittent use and in 927C ° (1700 ° F) or more of continuous use, 316 stainless steel has good resistance to oxidation. At 427 ° C-857 ° C (800 ° F-1575 ° F) range, it is best not continuous use 316 stainless steel, but outside the temperature range of the continuous use 316 stainless steel, the stainless steel has good heat resistance. 316L stainless steel resistant to carbide precipitation and better performance than the 316 stainless steel, available above temperature range.

Heat treatment

Welding

316 stainless steel has good weldability. All standard welding methods can be used for welding.
