New BMC Cage for those of you shooting with the BlackMagic Design Cinema Camera. Assembly is pretty simple, and the final product fits nicely around the BMCC without obstructing any of the ports, doors, buttons, or screen. Although there are cheaper BMCC cages available, I would say the build quality of this new BMC Cage is at a very professional level, could easily match any of the more expensive brand names.
The BMC Cage strikes an ideal balance between strength and weight while providing for a versatile range of accessories for the Blackmagic Cinema Cameras. It is easy to customize the BMC Cage with an array of 1/4-20" & 3/8"-16 mounting points. This makes it simple to incorporate accessories like EVF's, monitors, recorders, handgrips, etc...
The BMC Cage comes with a 15mm LWS rail block allowing you to mount accessories such a follow focus, map box, lens support! The Advanced version comes with a 15mm LWS rail block allowing you to mount accessories, such as batteries, while keeping the display clear. The options are endless!
