Roller introduction:

Roller is a critical component of belt conveyor, with its value accounting for around one third of the total value of conveyor. The performance, quality and life span are of vital importance to the whole machine. Our company has been attaching importance to the design and manufacturing process of carrier roller. The current carrier roller, having drawn on experience from German company PRECISMCECA and Japan IHI and American United Continental Holdings, is a good design of high quality and unique features. We use stamping bearing pedestal in producing bearing, seamed steel pipes and KA-series bearing with backlash and with waterproof and dustproof seals.

Pipe blanking is conducted by differential gear feed tube-cutting machine tool of domestic advanced level. Double-end bore is used in pipe procession. Work piece is chucked one time and lathe work is done to ensure the coaxiality of bore diameter of both ends and size and precision of the mould. Stamping bearing pedestal chooses domestic 08F or 08AL steel plate which experiences cold rolling and then recrystallization. There are13 processes from blanking to moulding. The assembling of carrier roller adopts technology of assembling before welding and is conducted on double-end welding machine. The welding of bearing pedestal and pipe is conducted at the same time. CO2 gas automatic protection welding is adopted.

Roller Dropping intensity

After experiments of horizontal and vertical drop of carrier roller, the following requirements should be met:

1. All components and welded joints cannot be damaged or taken apart;
2. Axial displacement of roller carrier after falling should be not more than 1.2mm;
3. The body and bearing of carrier roller should never be loosing;
4. The resistance to rotation should be not more than1.5 times of the figure stipulated in table 1.

Roller Sealability in water

After revolving at the rate of 1450t/min for 24 hours in water, the water inflow of the carrier roller with non-contact seal device is not more than 150g.

Roller Life span

When reinforced service life of carrier roller is converted into the actual service life, the time span is no less than 20000h. The damage rate of carrier roller is no larger than 10%.
