Roller Reamer

Roller Reamer (Rotary reamer/roller stabilizer/ drilling reamer) is designed for various reaming stabilization in drilling operation. Especially it can perform the double functions of centralization and reaming when drilling in very abrasive formations. This is a versatile tool which can be used for different hole sizes ranging from 4-5/8” to 36” by selecting proper rollers and simply adjust the blocks. In addition, its service life can be extended by replacing new rollers when the old rollers are worn and become smaller.

The body is made of modified alloy steel, fully heat treated to 285~341 Brinell hardness and 54J minimum impact strength. Connections are phosphatized, coated with thread dope and equipped with thread protectors, and are accord with API standard.

Three different types (S, M and H) of rollers are offered:

Type S: Milled, machined with sharp teeth for maximum reaming in soft formations.

Type M: Milled, machined and flat hard faced teeth, ideal for medium to medium hard formations.

Type H: Equipped with pressed-in tungsten carbide buttons, for hard formations.

All types of cutters are made of special alloy steel and full heat treated. They are set vertically in the body eliminating drag or sliding on the wall of the hole being drilled.
