Project Introduction:

Entrance---Splice of super large special shape glass

Two entrances of Wanda Plaza are of elliptic shape like snail whose three circulars glass is spliced by irregular fan-shape glass. The diagonal of every glass is up to 5 to 6 meters, so only one piece of glass can be cut from one super large glass sheet. These glasses are all cut by automatic machine basing on confirmed drawing to ensure the glass exact match when splice. The structures of the glass are ceramic laminated glass and ceramic insulated glass.

Not only all these super large special shape glass should perfectly match, but also the Chinese Knot pattern lines on every glass should horizontally and vertically straight match when splice. Therefore every piece of glass should has its own ceramic typography. The printing drawing includes the No. of the glass, four corners’ coordinates, corresponding printing location on screen, overprint splicing pattern of screen in order to realize the splicing effect.

Pattern Splicing:

There are two decorative glass ribbons with golden Chinese Knot pattern on the top of podium building. The ribbon is over 100 meters long and should be naturally changing. These glasses are all different in shape and pattern.

Inner arc are special shape bent ceramic insulated glass and outer arc are special shape bent ceramic laminated insulated glass.

The common used ceramic only show its solid color and without any lustrous changing. In order to meet designer’s requirement, we test out the metal color ceramic ink. Now the mature applied colors have bright gold color, silk gold color, silver white, silver gray, champagne, copper brown and other metal colors.

 What is silkscreen print glass?

Silkscreen print glass is processed by one time or printing high-temperature glaze on glass with required patterns and colors through screen printing, then tempered to sinter the glaze on the glass surface, which let the glaze can resist acid and alkali, scratch, color fading, exfoliation, fracture and has the same lifetime as the glass. This technology make the glass becomes much more functional and decorative.

Color:Surface of glazed glass can be covered partially or totally with rich colors (most colors in Pantone & RAL, the standard palette, can be matched) and rich patterns (designers can be free to design). In addition to solid coloring, various patterns can be designed such as three-dimensional pattern, gradient color, dots, squares and lines to strengthen the effect of buildings.

Pattern:As the surface of glazed tempered glass is stable and acid & alkali resistance, it can be further processed to new glass products such as glazed laminated glass, glazed hollow glass and glazed coated glass. Application of glazed glass has become a trend as it is widely applied in curtain wall and engineering decoration gradually. Furthermore, the glazed glass itself has the function for shading, and the shading coefficient of normal white glazed glass can reach to 0.32. If with patterns, this glass will realize more functional effect.
