Introductions:
1) Cut pipe square and deburr. Clean and dry joining surfaces, check dry fit
for inter ference fit, pipe should push 1/4 to 3/4 way into fitting snugly
2) Use a suitable applicator at least 1/2 size of the pipe diameter; for larger
sizes use brush or roller
3) Apply weld-or primer and follow directions, apply a full, even layer of cement
on the pipe equal to the depth of socket. Coat the fitting socket with a
medium layer. Avoid excess and puddling. On bell end pipe, do not coat
beyond socket depth or allow cement to run beyond the bell. If necessary,
apply a second, full layer on pipe. Cement should fill all gaps
4) Assemble while cement is wet. If not wet, recoat parts before assembly.
Insure pipe bottoms into fitting socket. Twist 1/8 to 1/4 turn; to avoid push
out and allow for initial set, hold for about 30seconds.Wipe off excess
5) Allow several minutes for good handing strength. At temperatures from 60
fahrenheit (16 centigrade) to 110 fahrenheit (44 centigrade), allow 24
hours cure for cold water systems and 48 hours cure for hot water. Between
40 fahrenheit (5 centigrade) and 60 fahrenheit (16 centigrade), allow 48
hours for cold water and 96 hours for hot water systems. Longer cure periods
are necessary when system is used for chemicals. Cure time is affected by
pipe diameter, pressure and temperature. Read IPS set and cure time
schedule, Product Bulletin and MSDS.
Caution: keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally. Keep away from heat, spark, open flame, other sources of ignition. Vapors may ignite explosively. Use only in well ventilated area; if not well ventilated, use forced ventilation or NIOSH approved respirator. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Use skin and eye protection. Eye contact may cause injury. Keep container closed. If inhaled, move into fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen and call physician. In case of eye or skin contact, flush with water for 15mins. If irritation persists, get medical attention. If swallowed, give 2 glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Contact physician immediately. Contains Tetrahydrofuran (109-99-9); Methyl Ethyl Ketone (78-93-3); Cyclohexanone (108-94-1) and CPVC Resin (68648-82-8).
