Wiper motors are critical to driver safety, yet their durability can be threatened by anything from extreme weather to owner-applied cleaning agents or high-pressure steam jets. The solution: Equalize pressure by continuous venting.
Microvent® Protective Vents protect against the negative effects of pressure differentials caused by temperature changes. With their integrated Microvent™ Membrane, these vents allow an enclosure to equalize pressure quickly when subjected to changes in temperature and pressure. These vents also provide an effective barrier against harsh weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, high winds), while allowing water vapor to exit quickly and reduce the likelihood of condensation on the lens.
Patented Microvent® Automotive Vents for Vehicle Wiper System are proven to reduce condensation and contaminants in headlamp assemblies by:
- allowing rapid exchange of air in response to pressure/temperature changes
- driving moisture out by diffusion through a microporous ePTFE membrane structure
