FRIGMAIRES OFFERS SEMI AUTOMATIC PLANTS AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF BITUMEN EMULSIONS FROM 3-10MT/HR. EMULSIONS ARE USED AS A BINDER IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS.THE PLANTS ARE DESIGNED FOR MANUFACTURING CATIONIC AND ANIONIC GRADES OF EMULSION MAINLY TERMED AS RAPID SETTING,MEDIUM SETTING AND SLOW SETTING EMULSIONS AS PER IS 8887 AS WELL AS ASTM AND BS SPECIFICATIONS. THE PLANTS OFFERED ARE SKID MOUNTED, COMACT AND MOBILE. THE CUSTOMERS SCOPE IS LIMITED TO PROVIDING THE BITUMEN AND WATER FEED TO THE PLANT. OUR ENGINEERS OFFER COMPLETE ON SITE TRAINING WITH RESPECT TO INSTALATION, FORMULATION, TESTING AND RUNNING OF THE PLANT.
WHY USE BITUMEN EMULSIONS? Standard flexible road structures consists of layers of manufactured materials laid onto an roadbed soil. The upper portion of the roadbed soil is commonly exposed to harsh environmental and heavy traffic leading to distortion and subsequent cracking of the upper surface layers. It is not economically viable to excavate the complete structure and therefor emulsion mixes are used successfully to follow roadbed soil movement without cracking. It has been proven that emulsion mixes have membrane-like mechanical properties rather than the slab-like properties of standard hot bituminous mixtures. Furthermore, emulsion mixes are not as susceptible to thermal cracking as regular standard hot bituminous mixtures.
