Drum to sort the Recyclable Wastes by Hole Size
- Trommel screen is to sort the waste by hole size of the long drum.
- Different sizes of the holes are sorting the materials of different types (less than 30mm for Inerts like sand, broken glass, ceramic and stone, 30mm to 200mm for recyclable plastics and 200mm to 300mm for paper and big plastics.)
- The knives installed in the screen drum are splitting and shredding bags, and keeping the materials from being interwined.
- Trommel screen is typically installed as the first machine of the sorting line in MRF (Material Recovery Facility) or MBT (Mechanical Biological Treatment) which is right after the bag splitter or the crusher.
