Ⅱ.INSTRUCTION FOR CR-39 LENS COATING

 

 

(1) For  such coatings, the lens can coating 4 to 5 kinds, the maximum coatings can up to 10 layers and coating on the two sides(front and back side), its thickness about 4-5um(0.004-0.005mm). Each layers have its functions, such as hardening coatings also named wear resistance coatings, its function is improve the surface hardness and abrasion resistance ability for the lens to prolong the lifetime for the lens. Anti-reflective coatings also named antireflection coatings, it can effectively reduce the reflection of light and improve the light transmittance and clarity vision. Anti-fouling coatings also named hydrophobic coatings, it makes the surface of lens will not easily have the adhesion of dust

, stain and moisture.
 
 
(2) Preparation for Coating:
 
A. Pre-cleaning(required high cleaning requirement, it needs up to molecular level, put all kinds of cleaning fluid in the rinse tank,such as using deionized water that specially after purification system and use ultrasonic cleaning machine to strengthen the cleaning effect).
 
B.After that, put the lens in the vacuum chamber,you need to pay special attention to that avoid the dust and garbage from the air adhere to the surface of lens. Cleaning in the chamber before vacuum coating, it using ion gun that put in the vacuum chamber to bombard the surface of lens(such as using argon ion) to cleaning and then coating the anti-reflective coatings.
 
C.Hardening(you had better adopt immersion hardening coatings, it is even thick and stable quality, but not like rotary spray type hardening, it is thin and poor quality.
 
D. Vacuum Coating.
 
Vacuum evaporating craft, it ensures put the pure coating material on the surface of lens, meanwhile, during the process of evaporation, it tightly controlled the chemical composition of coating material, vacuum evapoation process can accurately control the thickness of the coatings and up to the accuracy easier.
