It is a natural alternative to the chemical detergent for soft washing. All the chemical detergent works on the principle of reducing the surface tension of the water and oil which causes the dirt of the clothes to exit from it. The soap nut shell contains and releases the saponins (soap) when it comes in contact with warm or hot water. Agitation further releases these saponins. The saponins then circulate as a natural surfactant (surface active ingredient). They break down the surface tension between water and oil in the wash water reducing the surface tension of the water aiding it in freeing dirt, grime and oils from clothes.

Uses:

• Soap nut is used in cleansing lotions, shampoos, hair conditioners.

• Soap nut contains a high level of saponins. It is antibacterial, mild foaming agent and cleanser.

• Soap nut powder is used to cleanse hair, skin and laundry. It is helpful in removing stains from hands. It soothes the eczema, psoriasis, itchy and sensitive skin.

• Soap nut is an excellent hair tonic.

• Soap nut extract comes from the fruit of the Soap nut tree. The pulp of the fruit contains a high level of natural foaming agents.

• Soap nut is added to a facial mix of milk powder and clay to provide delicate cleansing of the skin. It can also be added to salt scrubs to enhance cleansing action.
