Products Introduction
FC-09G is a fully digitized signal detection, high-precision, automatic heating icing Ultrasonic Wind instrument. It can be the wind speed, wind direction and temperature in real-time acoustic measurements simultaneously.
8-pin device connected by waterproof air plugs.
Measurement values can be output from the following ways:
-RS485 / RS422 communication;
1>NMEA0813 protocol;
2>Modbus-RTL agreement;
- Analog output
1>wind speed and direction are all 4-20mA current output;
2>Winds 2-500Hz pulse output, wind 4-20mA current output;
1.1 wind speed and direction measurement
Ultrasonic anemometer uses four ultrasonic probe cycle for sending and receiving ultrasonic waves in the two-dimensional plane, to measure wind speed and direction by ultrasonic propagation time difference in the air.
1.2 Acoustic Temperature Measurement
Ultrasonic anemometer via ultrasonic wave propagation time in the air to calculate wind speed, and then through the physical relationship in air velocity and temperature to calculate the temperature of the air.
1.3 features automatic snow and ice

2 Data Output
System output wind speed, wind direction and temperature are synchronized frequency is 1-10Hz adjustable. Winds output a result of this period of time, the average wind direction and temperature, so the output frequency is set higher, the amount of high-frequency measuring more value, the greater the standard deviation; conversely, the lower the output frequency is set, then the measurement of the higher the accuracy. Therefore, if the measurement of low wind speed wind (20m / s or less), the air flow is laminar flow more smoothly, it is recommended can be set to a higher output frequency. And if the measurement range at higher wind speed (20m / s-60m / s), the air flow is not smooth, turbulence and eddies increased significantly, it is recommended to set at low output frequency to increase measurement accuracy.
3 instrument setup
3.1 Mounting
Instruments from inside four Allen screws and tighten.
Installation time need to pay attention to ensure that equipment is placed horizontally, and the beacon pointing north direction.
3.2 installation site selected
In order to smooth the flow of air, wind speed and direction in order to ensure accurate measurements, the instrument should be installed as far away from the location of tall buildings, trees and other obstacles.
NOTE: FC-09G has a unique algorithm for electromagnetic interference on the line to correct, so a good anti-electromagnetic interference capability and can operate normally under strong radiation. Even in the vicinity of the antenna and radar data can be accurately measured. But still not recommended to use the product in strong electromagnetic interference, in order to reduce the possibility of adverse effects on the instrument.
3.3 Ground
In order to avoid lightning, high voltage electrostatic radiation damage to the instrument or injury, the instrument must be properly grounded. Grounding the cable shield should be connected to the earth.
4 Instrument Connectivity
Bottom anemometer has a 8-pin waterproof plug for through shielded cable to connect an external power supply and communication interfaces. Pin functions are distributed as follows:

4.1 Power supply
Ultrasonic Wind instrument supply power to 24V ± 20%, and this power should have a small ripple voltage.
4.2 analog output interface circuit
Two analog output interfaces can provide an output analog signal.
Pin 1 can 4-20mA current value in a manner showing wind speed 0-50m / s, it can output 0-50m / s wind speed value 2-500Hz frequency pulse wave form. The manner in which the output needs to be customized according to customer requirements.
If the current mode is output, the maximum load resistance is 300Ω.
5 FC-09G Monitor monitoring software
FC-09G Monitor software for setting and monitoring the ultrasonic anemometer a PC host software, which can be used to monitor the FC-09G anemometer data and recorded on the PC hard disk.
5.1 Software Installation
CD-UA09 Monitor monitoring software via CD-ROM publishing, can run on Windows2000 and Windows XP operating systems. On the PC side of the installation and follow the prompts to complete the installation by clicking setup.exe. After shown in Figure 5.1, the software installation need to restart the computer.
5.2 software runs
FC-09G Monitor After the installation, by clicking Start -> All Programs -> FC-09G Monitor to start the software.

This software can be written to a number of parameters of the device settings. Including the instrument can be configured from the device number of mod-bus communication protocol settings and communication settings. Configure the device by a software tool bar of the "Settings -> Configure Device" to enter. Configure the device interface shown in below pic.
"Change from the device number" of the need to change the device number, numbered from 1-247. Equipment Factory No. 1.
"Protocol Settings," is to configure the device output communication protocol. Mod-bus and optional NMEA two kinds. The factory setting is mod-bus.
"Communication settings" is to configure the device communication, selectable as RS485 and RS422. When the instrument is RS422, when current analog output pin becomes output pin RS422, analog output is no longer valid. The factory setting is RS485.
After a configuration option, click "Configuration" to complete the configuration device. After the device configuration requires power to restart the device, set new configuration parameters will be written to the device to take effect.

5.2.2 Communication Settings
After the software is started, you need a software communications settings. Determining Serial name, communication protocol, the sampling time. If you are using Mod bus protocol, we need to set the communication instrument device numbers. Communication is set by the software tool bar of the "Settings -> Communication Settings" to enter. Figure 5.4 shows the communication setup interface.
5.2.3 Data Monitoring
After successful communication settings, click "Connect Instrument" button on the main panel software, search connected to the computer equipment. If the instrument is connected successfully, the connection status light turns green.
After the instrument is connected click on the "Run" button, the light turns red, then "Run" button to "stop" button, the software enters the data of the monitoring state.
If you need to pause for data monitoring, then click on the "Stop" button, the red light turns off, data monitoring stops. As shown in Figure 5.4.
