Product Description

 Tamarind kernel powder is obtained from tamarind seeds, while tamarind gum is obtained from the endosperm of the seeds of tamarind tree. It has application in various industries like food, textile, paper, mining, etc. In food industry, tamarind gum is used as a stabilizer and emulsifier.

Molecules present in it get spread easily in water and turns to gluey fluid, when it is heated up in acidic form and forms a thermal resistant solution.

 

Tamarind seed powder is used as thickeners in textile industry.

 

Tamarind seed powder is a complex mixture that basically comprises of Galactoxyloglucal polysaccharides, lipids, proteins, etc.

It is very important for thickeners to be compatible and stable with dyeing auxiliaries and dyes to be used with. Printing thickeners are widely appreciated for purity, effectiveness and longer shelf life.

The produced derivatives of different textile printing thickeners is mainly based on tamarind, corn starch, tapioca, guar gum, etc, for various types of fabrics, dyes & textile printing applications.

 

Types of printing thickeners in detail:-

These are of three types

 

1 - Guar Gum Printing Thickener

2 - Carboxymethyl Printing Thickener

3 - Cold Water Printing Thickener

4 - Tamarind Kernel Powder (CMT-8)

 

  • Thickening supplement is naturally derived from starch, gum, sodium alginate and tamarind derivatives.
  • These thickeners can be defined as macromolecules that have high molecular weight and posses the capability of absorbing water in it. You will notice this whenever you add thickeners into your print paste, you would experience that the level of your solution will reduce little bit from its initial level. 
  • As these thickeners absorb water, they make bulky macro molecule, which in turn hinder the movement of particles in a solution. This causes consequent increase in the viscosity of printing paste to desired level.
  • It is very important that fabric on which you are intended to print must be salt-free, otherwise it would simply cause decrease in the viscosity of the paste. Further, it will drop it to a level that it will start damaging print by going beyond the allocated boundary.
