Drive-through Racks require fewer aisles, allowing you to store up to 75% more pallets in the same space
1. There are two types: drive-in and drive-through racking. Drive-In Racks allow a lift truck to pick up or pull out pallets from the same entry and exit, useing what is called a LIFO (last in, first out) storage method; while drive-through storage system, with two different entry points, can also use a FIFO (first in, first out) storage method.
2. Drive-In Rack is used to store many pallets of a similar SKU or product. Lift trucks drive into the rack to extract the first pallet they come to.
3. Requirement for storing a large amount of similar items that can be stored in a single pallet position and accessed last-in, first-out
4. Pallets can slide backwards on a continuous rail and forklifts drive into the rack to access pallets two or more deep.
5. Drive-In racks are typically subject to more abuse than selective racks due to the way they are utilized, so rack integrity and strength are important factors.
It is ideal rack for cooler or freezer applications.
