* Hovenia dulcis Thunb Tree Story
   Hovenia dulcis Thunb Tree or Oriental Raisin Tree (Hovenia dulcis Thunb) is a broad leafed arbor in Rhamnaceae Family naturally growing in the southern area of Korea.
  The tree may grow up to 15 m of height or 1 m of diameter and leaves look similar to that of wild mulberry tree.
   Flowers blossom in June ~ July and fruits are ripen in October ~ November. The shape of fruit is unique similar to chicken feet or sea coral branches.
  The fruit tastes sweet and bears a seed in a similar shape of wild jujube.
  Hovenia dulcis Thunb Tree (Oriental Raisin Tree) is also called as Baekseokmok, Moksanho, Heonpori or other various references in Korean while the tree’s botanical name is Hovenia dulcis Thunb.

    - Height: 20m.  Diameter may grow over 1 m.

    - Flower: White blossoms in June
    - Fruit: Ripen in October – November. The diameter is 8mm. Brown colored. Seeds in similar shape of Jujube seeds.
13% of sugars including fructose, glucose, catalase, peroxidase and small amounts of potassium, calcium, iron are contained.
    - Stem: Triterpenoids, Hobeni acid (C30H46O3)
    - Leaf: Wide and egg shape similar to wild mulberry’s leaf. Contains Rutin and Saponin.
    - Trunk Skin: Firm, glossy and slightly flat
