About silica gel:
Because of its chemical composition silica and physical properties of the structure, determines that it has many other features of similar materials difficult to replace, in the application has the following advantages:
(1) non-toxic, odorless, chemically stable, insoluble in any solvents and solutions, in addition to hydrofluoric acid (HF) and strong base, but does not react with any substance.
(2) thermal stability, pore type silica gel can be less than the temperature of 300 °C to use, and other types of silica gel was able to 500-600 °C long-term use under high temperature conditions.
(3) silica gel has a rigid frame structure, high mechanical strength, good wear resistance.
(4) non-deliquescent, non-corrosive and non-soluble in water features, even full of water absorption, the look and feel, or dry.
(5) silica gel with stable quality, and does not use and the external environment changes.
Silicone products manufacturing methods for each species are different with their own characteristics, it is because silicone in the manufacturing process can be controlled by the appropriate process conditions are different types of pore structure and adapt to different applications.
