2. How ORBITA mifare hotel locking system works?
Our hotel locking system consists of following:
- PC (usually located on the reception desk of hotel lobby)
- Hotel lock management software+Encoder (How the cards are issued)
- Hotel card lock (Installed on the hotel room door)
- Cards (The keycard to open doors)
3. Card Usage and Function
1. Authorization card:
It is the most important card in the system. It is a code setting card, can’t open the lock. Hotel always issues two Authorization cards which should be kept by administrator. The loss or wrong operation of this card may cause serious problems. So this card should be kept well.
2. Clock card:
This card is used to set or amend the lock time to be the same as the computer time.
3. Master card:
This card can open all the locks with deadbolt in the hotel or hotel group. Usually, it is kept by hotel general manager or the hotel security management personnel. Note: if master card is lost, pls mark the option “Suspend The Lost Card” and then issue a new master card to open all the hotel locks one time, this makes the lost master cards cancelled automatically.
4. Initialization card:
This card is used to transfer the hotel setup information to each individual lock or to set the lock identity. All opening cards need initializing by Initialization card except the master card and functional cards like Authorization card, Clock card, Emergency card, Data card.
5. Building master card:
It is the master card for one building in the hotel and with time limitation (can’t open deadbolt). If the hotel has only one building, then it is same as the master card except that the master card can also open deadbolt. Note: method to cancel lost Building master card is the same as cancelling lost Master card.
6. Floor master card:
It opens all the locks on a certain floor with time limitation (can’t open deadbolt). This card can be given to the floor manager or House keeper (maid) who is in charge of one floor. Note: method to cancel lost Floor master card is the same as cancelling lost Master card
7. Guest Card:
Guest card can open the certain room with time limitation, but can’t open deadbolt. Guest card expires automatically when lock clicks over guest card checkout time. Note: if guest card is lost, pls mark the option “Suspend The Lost Card” and then issue a new guest card with same room no. to open its guest room one time, this makes the lost master cards cancelled automatically.
8. Passage Card:
Passage card is used to set the lock to be with passage function including system passage, building passage and floor passage. Insert initialization card and take it out after you hear a group of beeps with blue light flashing; then insert system passage card in during the blue light flashing, a group of beeps means successful setting. Same method to set building and floor passage function. One lock can be set to be with one passage function only. System passage means all opening cards issued from the same system can open the lock set by system passage card; Building passage means all opening cards which belong to the same building can open the lock set by building passage card; Floor passage means all opening cards which belong to the same floor can open the lock set by floor passage card.
9. Data card:
Data card is used to download the lock opening events from lock to PC which is held by administrator. Insert data card in lock, flashing blue light means downloading starts; then a group of beeps means downloading finishes.
10.House keeper card:
It is used for big hotels where more than one house keeper. Different house keeper card opens different area with time limitation(can’t open deadbolt). Note: method to cancel lost House keeper card is the same as cancelling lost Master card.
11. Emergency card:
This card is used to warn that there is a fire or something happens in the hotel and to make the lock to be in passage way. Note: method to cancel lost Emergency alarm card is the same as cancelling lost Master card.
