 M2CV6 - A top selling facility vehicle. Van box measures approximately 4'x6x'4' with two side facing and a back facing access door. The hauler body also has access to an additional 10' squared storage area. These popular vans are often used by resorts for housekeeping, bell staff, food & beverage, engineering/maintenance departments. Universities often use these for transporting mail, computers etc as do all government agencies.

 What is the life expectancy of the vehicle?

All vehicles are constructed using aluminum fabrication and chassis that will not rust, thus a vehicle should last at least 10 years when properly maintained. The solar panel option on vehicles will last over twenty years! Some parts, such as batteries will need replacing after few years but these are typical wear type items. 

 How much noise do the cars produce? Is possible to provide a noiseless model?

Resorts such as the Ritz Carlton in the Caribbean have replaced all their gas carts with Cruise Cars as they are silent and guests stopped complaining about the smell and noise!  These large facilities operate silent security vehicles, executive runabouts,  guest transports,  bellhops,  room service carts and their grounds team continue to order vehicles as they like to begin working before the sun gets hot and they too do not want to disturb guests.  This consideration of guest helps resorts achieve 5 Star ratings.

 What is the life of the warranty that is included with new cars?

Cruise Cars come with a one year Limited Warranty. Vehicles arrive with all components guaranteed to properly work and replacement parts are readily available should they be required.  Vehicles all share many key components with other major US brand golf carts (unique to Cruise Car) and a global network of trained technicians are utilized for long term vehicle care. Cruise Car stocks over $800,000.00 in parts with a 24 hour shipping policy.

 Be specific about the required maintenance.  What tasks must be performed and how often?

Check the water level in the batteries every 2 weeks. If you have solar, wash the solar roof as needed and hosing the car underbody with fresh water is recommended. If you buy a larger tram (14 passenger), the front end needs greasing every 2 weeks. Properly maintained batteries should last about 3 years…and replacement costs about $600.00- $700.00. Proper tire pressure needs to be maintained. Carts should neither be abused nor used for unintended purposes.

What is the maximum speed of these vehicles?

Standard speed setting is 17mph although it can be set to your specifications. Our strong motors can be programmed to allow speeds of 10mph – 25mph and are designed to have enough power to easily climb hills regardless of the payload.

 What is necessary to charge the car?

Each vehicle comes with a standard 110v charger that can be used in standard 20amp outlets.  For export, we offer a 220v charger option.

 How long would it take to charge a car?

Timing is dependent on how far down the batteries have been discharged…but overnight is standard.  If the vehicle is equipped with solar and travels 5 miles a day or less, it will not need to be plugged in, except for once every few weeks to briefly calibrate the batteries.

Cruise Cars are built with a premium 4.5kw AC motor with an output of 6-13HP. This efficient motor allows for hill climbing and for the vehicle to be programmed to travel up to 25mph.  
Batteries: Number of units per car type and brand/voltage?

Standard battery configuration is (6) 8v Premium American Brand batteries. When shipping internationally however we strongly encourage vehicles to ship without batteries. Sourcing batteries locally allows for fresh batteries to be installed and simpler to service as batteries are standard worldwide.

Do cars come with charge indicator for the batteries?
Standard vehicles come with a charge indicator.

What are the materials used in building the vehicle?
All vehicles are built on a premium hollow core aluminum chassis and all major fabrication is aluminum to avoid rust and corrosion issues. Items such as stake back cages or cargo boxes are also high grade aluminum. The vehicles include some plastic formed components such as the dashboard. The canopies are either plastic or fiberglass depending on model.   Seats are marine grade durable vinyl over foam rubber with a plastic backing
What is the shipping packaging?

Vehicles are built, tested then partially dismantled and crated for export.  Reassembly is designed to be simple.
