USB to Serial RJ45 Console Cable
This USB to Serial RJ45 cable has an embedded FTDI FT232R and ZT213 RS232 level shifter to produce true RS232 levels and is terminated with a RJ45 connection for direct connection to Cisco and other network equipment serial console ports (DTE).
Designed for the modern PCs, Laptops which no longer have Serial Ports.
This USB to Serial RJ45 Console / Rollover Cable is a much neater, space saving alternative as it combines the two devices that most network engineers, students, technicians use on most console ports. (A USB to RS232 Adapter & a DB9 to RJ45 Cable).
One cable provides the USB to Serial & the Console/Rollover Cable and is 1.8meters (+/- 0.2m) in length. This USB-Serial RJ45 Cable can also be extended using a USB extension cables up to a maximum of 5 meters or even further if using a USB repeater/extending device.
This USB to Serial RJ45 Console Cable supports Windows XP ~ Windows 8.1 (32 & 64 Bit editions), Windows Server 2003~2012 (32 & 64 Bit editions) Linux (32 & 64 Bit editions), MAC OS 8/9 and OSX inc 10.9 (Mavericks) (32 & 64 Bit editions)

Drivers are installed automatically using the Internet when using Windows 7~Windows 8.1 via the Windows Hardware Install Wizard
(Offline installation is also possible via the driver link for non internet connected machines).
Compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, Supports Data Transfer of up to 500Kbps.
Compatible with Most Cisco Console Ports, Juniper Network Console Ports and other Data Terminal Networking Console Ports.
Pinouts for this cable RJ45 (8 Pin) are:
Pin 1 = CTS
Pin 2 = DSR
Pin 3 = RX
Pin 4 = Ground
Pin 5 = Ground
Pin 6 = TX
Pin 7 = DTR
Pin 8 = RTS
