Oil- / Water- Swellable Packers
1. Oil- / water- swellable packer are made from special rubber. The swellable packers are run in hole with casing or tubing and swell in oil or water to isolate the annulus without any surface operation.
2. Major applications are:
3. Isolation of special zones, such as isolation of high pressure water zone, prevention of gas or water coning.
4. Isolation of pay zones to achieve selective zone production.
5. Run with other fracturing tools to perform a multi-stage fracturing job.
6. Used as a liner top packer to isolate liner-casing annulus.
7. To solve oil, gas or water migration problem when micro-annulus is created after cementing job, improving cementing quality.
1. Reasonable structure, convenient operation and high reliability.
2. The packer is able to self repair in case it is slightly-damaged,
no influence on sealing performance.
3. Swells in oil or water and can isolate irregular wellbore.
4. Packer OD and length may be adjusted as per well conditions.
