Determined maximum temperature affected when there is a failure of the sample, under defined conditions, this temperature called brittleness temperature, used for plastics and other materials in low temperature compare identification, and also determination of different rubber materials or different formulations of Vulcanized rubber brittleness temperature and low temperature performance is good or bad.
In the original design of this instrument, an increase of cold stirrer, so that the temperature around container more uniform, cooling temperatures more quickly, saves time, reduces the energy consumption.

Test methods
At low temperatures, with a certain energy and speed, the hammer impact and compression specimen, Obtain the temperature, when its rupture rate reach up 50%.
Test requirements:
1. Standard sample size:
Length: 50 ± 1 mm. Width: 6 ± 0.5 mm. Thickness: 0.5 ± 0.05 mm.
2. Sample should be no cracks, bubbles, pinholes ,smooth surface.
3. Number of Sample should be sufficient.
Note:
1). Allow 0.3~0.7 mm in thickness, but with different thickness of test results cannot be compared
2). test surface requirements and sampling by product standard

1). Hammer impact energy: W = 50 ± 2.0 kg / cm. Speed V = 2 ± 0.05 m / s.
2). Punch bottom is parallel to sample table.
3). Maintain good holding tank and agitator.
4). Test temperature: -80 ℃ -0 ℃
5). Refrigerant: industrial ethanol
