Leader Glass----- Frosted Mirror Glass Introduction
Acid etched mirror glass with an attractive smooth, silky surface is an innovative decorative glass product, and can be used to enhance all areas of the home. Produced by acid etching one face of a piece of clear glass, it has a distinctive, uniformly smooth and satin-like appearance. As a translucent product, it admits light whilst still providing obscuration and vision control.
Acid Glass is glass which has been rendered opaque through a process which roughens or obscures the clear surface of the class. There are numerous applications for Acid Glass in both homes and businesses. In addition to purchasing Acid Glass, intrepid crafters can also make it at home with a few basic supplies. Making Acid Glass can be an excellent beginner craft project.
Commercially produced Acid Glass is usually frosted with acid etching or sandblasting. Acid etching is used to make Acid Glass with a pattern. Patterned glass sometimes appears in ornamental windows, as well as in glasses, mirrors, vases, and other glassware around the house. The pattern can be simple or extensive, and it may include floral or geometric elements. Sandblasting is used to frost an entire sheet of glass, for installation in places like bathrooms and other areas where people might want privacy.
