The Vertex VX-2200 offers users an extensive set of signaling attributes and enhanced channel capacity to maximize the return on your communication investment.
The main features of Vertex Standard VX-2200 mobile radios
A trustworthy and reliable communications solution providing your workforce with features such as: 5–Tone Encode and 5–Tone Decode which can Stun, Kill or Revive the radio, open and close the squelch, and built in Emergency Function which can automatically switch to an emergency channel.

Vertex Standard VHF 134-174mHz 50W Commercial Mobile
The VX-2200 Series mobiles are designed for reliable business communications in a wide variety of applications with a wide range of operating capability provided by their 25 Watt or high power (50 Watts) output and wide-band coverage (134 – 174MHz ).
The VX-2200 has 128 channels stored in up to 8 groups. Each group having it's own alpha tag. Each channel also has it's own 8 character alpha tag.
5-tone encode and decode
The built-in 5-tone decoder allows for 8 decode strings per channel if needed. Besides a simple alert, the decode function can also:
- Open the squelch
- Close the squelch
- Transpond automatically
- Work with or without CTCSS/DCS decoding
- Turn the Call icon on or off
- Start or stop scan
- Stun/Kill/Revive the radio
- Auto TX
- Turn Emergency on or off
- Turn on or off logic outputs of the accesory port.
~ Remember, all 5-tone decode pairs can have their own alpha tag as well ! The encode allows for 32 different strings. There are three "hot call" function keys you can program that will immediately call a specific string, or you can use the Code Up or Code Down keys to scroll through them. The encode pairs also have their own alpha tags!
Emergency feature
The built in emergency function can switch to an emergency channel, send the ENI,etc.

The VX-2200 mobiles come with DTMF ANI built in.
2-tone encode and decode

128 Channel Capacity
The VX-2200 balances the need for channel capacity while still keeping a simple user interface. The 128 channels can all have their own alpha tag. You have up to eight groups to separate your channels. Each group can also have it's own alpha tag.
