Cinnamon is the plant species which requiring the climatic features, land and its proper terrain. Cinnamon is species appropriated with humid tropical climate, rainfall, and sunshine. Cinnamon will grow well on hilly land slightly steep, thick layer, moist, loam, it drains, the pH of KCL is about 5 - 6, and it can develop well on the mother rock schist, sandstone, granite, riolit. The popular appropriate altitude is from 300 - 700m (absolute height).
If the areas are higher, the cinnamon tends to slow-growing but thick and much attar, then cinnamon lower prone to pests and diseases, and less attar and has a shorter lifespan.
VietGO Co., Ltd supplies the special cinnamon from YenBai- Vietnam. The features of YenBai cinnamon has a absolute altitude about 300-700m; the annual average temperature is 22.7 degrees Celsius, the average annual rainfall of over 2000 mm, with the average annual rainfall reaches 3,000 mm; the average humidity is 84%. The development of land on sandstone, schist, with thick layers of soil, moist, loam and drainage. YenBai Cinnamon region is the biggest acreage of cinnamon (30.000 hectares) and the output of cinnamon bark as well as highest quality in Vietnam.
The annual harvest is about 5,000 tons of dry cinnamon bark, 150-200 tons of attar. The annual export volume is from 1000-2000 tons. Our mainly export markets are China, India, Taiwan, etc. Furthermore, YenBai province has 08 large attar cinnamon factories with a total capacity up to 700 tons/year. There are also more than 200 small attar cinnamon distillation agents with the output from 300-800kg/year per each one.
Speacially, the cinnamon grown in Yen Bai has aged between 8-30 years.
The longer the lifespan of tree, the better the quality of attar cinnamon.
