The Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) dock fender possesses a low coefficient of friction, abrasion resistance and great anti-impact ability ,which provides a smooth sliding surface for the vessel to travel along the fender face. And just as its name implies, it can protect the Dock and the ship body away from the crash. In the meantime ,also have a longer service life than all the other materials.
1. UHMWPE marine fender padwear-resisting performance is the best among all the plastics ,and the larger the molecular weight, the higher the material of wear resistance and impact resistance;
2. UHMWPE marine fender pad’s impact strength is the highest in the existing plastic and it has a strong strength in 70℃;
3. UHMWPE marine fender pad has good self-lubrication;
4. UHMWPE marine fender pad’s water absorption rate is extremely low. As a result ,its physical and mechanical properties can be appropriate to the humid environment;
5. UHMWPE marine fender pad has a stable chemical performance ,which can be against of corrosive mediums, such as acid ,alkali, salt and most organic mediums ,in the scope of certain temperature and concentration, but except fluoride acid liquor with high degree;
6. UHMWPE marine fender pad is tasteless, non-toxic, odorless and corrosive and has a physiological cycle and physiological adaptability;
7. UHMWPE marine fender pad is adhesive;
8. UHMWPE marine fender pad’s weight is more than 50000,and its brittle temperature drops to -140℃.Marine fender has a strong mechanical strength ,for instance ,its temperature can reach -269℃ under the effect of liquid nitrogen.
