The Silicone Keypad is the most important functional part in the switch. It is responsible for providing electrical contact and is ultimately responsible for the way the switch feels, the Haptik. It performs over a wide range of conditions and must last for several hundred thousand actuations reliably and without failure.

Silicone rubber is a flexible, economical choice for a wide range of silicone molded parts. Odorless, tasteless and hypoallergenic, it is the ideal raw material for devices intended for use in a sterile environment. Silicone rubber is also fatigue- and tear-resistant, and features a low compression set, high elongation, and high thermal stability. As a result, it can be used for outdoor, all-weather applications, or for any other situation in which exceptional durability is required.
Silicone rubber is available in medical, food contact, and high thermal resistance grades. Glory Sun Group’s advanced silicone compression molding capabilities allow us to produce parts in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and configurations.
