Wedge anchors are widely used for securing all sorts of things to concrete. Available from numerous manufacturers, they all operate on a common principle and are simple and easy to use. Each is applied by inserting it in a hole drilled in concrete. The hole diameter is identical to that of the anchor; thus each must be driven into the hole.
Installation:
1. Drill hole 1/2 deeper than wedge anchor embedment using a carbide tipped bit. (Hole size is wedge anchor size).
2. Clear the hole of all debris, then place the ThunderStud wedge anchor through the hole in the fixture or directly into the concrete, and hammer it in to the drilled hole, ensuring that they are installed to the desired depth.
3. Turn the nut by hand until the unit is "snugged up". Tighten the nut with a torque wrench to ensure they are tightened to the required torque value.
